It's been so long...

It's been so long since I posted on here that it took me a minute to figure out with the changes how to even do it! I am hanging out these days mostly on my myspace (yes I've gone to the other side, lol). Xanga was my first but like most firsts it doesn't last forever. I'm not getting rid of this place, it's full of my past and there is no reason to completely delete it but I obviously don't update here very often. Brooklyn

Earlier this month Dee and I went to Brooklyn visit Debs and Mike. The weather wasn't very great but it was still a fun visit. We did get to go see the Statue of Liberty and The Rock (the top of Rockafellar Center).

Our trip fell over Mother's Day and also the time I would find out if I was pregnant or not. Unfort. I'm not...yet! Waiting's a bitch but all the love and support of friends and family has truly been amazing. This baby will be loved by so many people and that is a wonderful feeling!

I have to run and get the grocery shopping done and I also am jonesing for a mocha latte, so DD here I come!

Back to Reality but the Trip Sure was Fun!

M~I~C~K~E~Y!!

Dee and I leave for Disney World on March 15th. We're both super excited, I'm excited about the whole trip while Dee is so scared of flying that she is pretty sure we're not even going to make it a live to FL. =o)

Both our Grandmothers are very sick and bascially at this point when ever a parent calls we hold our breaths until we find out why they called. I don't know what is worse, knowing someone is going to die just not when or having no warning. Both Grandmothers have strong wills so I know they will live as long as they physically can.

For those of you who are waiting for baby news...we have so many travel plans coming up that we decided to wait a few months before we try again to get pregnant. We both want it but we also are at the point were we can afford to travel and have the time off available so we want to do what we can as a couple keeping in mind that a year or so from now we'll be traveling as a family of 3!

We found an amazing dog sitter who both dogs love so we can go on vacation and not have to worry about them at all.

Sometimes I think it stresses me out more having my life together. Like I have so much to be thankful for but then I feel like it's this juggling act. Like all these good happy balls are up in the air but what if one falls, will they all fall? Ok, so maybe it doesn't stress me out but it does scare me.

Alrighty I need to go pass meds and then write a paper. I can not believe how close I am to graduating with this degree. I'm going to take a break for a while and then onto my masters. I can't wait to be done!

sporty talk!?!

When I moved to Massachusets (and worked in NH) I was shocked at how obnoxious Red Sox fans were. So much so that even though I really didn't care much about baseball I bought a few shirts to "show my support" and basically so I was left alone and not asked all kinds of baseball related questions. I mean come on I had a shirt on, I must be a fan, end of story.

Then we finally get moved to Maine and it was more of the same, not qute as bad (though just being around my brother in-law and his whole I hate the Yankees bs was enough to make up for it! ) but still right up there. So I kept wearing the shirts and ignored the fans.

Well then it became football season and it wasn't just any football season but a season where the New England Patriots won EVERY SINGLE GAME. I kept trying to ingore all the obnoxious fans and counted down the days til the super bowl and the season being over. It's hard to ignore such fans when they seem to be everywhere, including your church where half of them wore their jerseys.

When I found out the Giants were up against the Patriots I couldn't stand by silent anymore.  The Giants are from NY the state I grew up in and I remember growing up with my grandfathers rooting for "their team". Well it was the final straw! lol I tried to buy a Giants shirt to show my support but any sports store I looked in treated me like I was crazy or something so instead I just shared my support of my NY team anytime in came up in convo and prayed that they would win so I could laugh my ass off at those crazy Patriot fans.

I have to say for not being into football I thought the Super Bowl game was pretty impressive. And the Giants didn't let me down at all! And I found it interesting that I havn't heard anything from those Patriot fans who thought my cheering for the Giants was crazy.

I've been feeling like maybe I should go back to where I came from and keep cheering for the NY teams. So I've spent the past two days wondering what I should do about all these Red Sox shirts I own...a few ideas came to mind that I won't bore you with but at the end of the day I decided to keep and wear them (hey I think they look pretty cool) but I have decided to buy myself some Yankee's shirts and live a bit dangerously. And hey maybe the Yankee's will produce a win similier to that of the Giants and that would be fun too.

My sis was a lucky gal today to be working from the building that the NY Giants parade went by. She called me at one point and the crowd was so happy that it sounded like New Years eve in the city all over again. She's been trying to buy Dee and I a champions shirt but the are all sold out. So I'll have to order it and wear it all around town.
